Press Report.

191800. Police raided the offices and workshop of three suspended Communist newspapers in Connaught Road Central Hong Kong this morning. Thirty Tour people round on the premises were detained for questioning. A number of inflammatory posters on the second floor of the puliding were seized.

The raid was mounted by a Company of policemen but no troops were deployed.

No resistance was encountered.

Six searches on Communist stores were carried out in Talpo new territories towards noon today resulting in the arrest of two men, and the seizure of a number of inflammatory newspapers.

The border areas have remained quiet.
