elected to stand at position No. 1 on the extreme right of the line.
1st Witness
(identified in person) was called at
1625 hours. The purpose of the parade was explained to him in
Cantonese and he was given an opportunity to identify the person
known to him as CHU Leung. The witness picked him out without
hesitation. CHU Leung declined to change his position.
(identified in person) was called at 1631 hours and after some
hesitation identified CHU Leung by placing his hand on his shoulder
and saying this is Mr. CHU Leung. CHU Leung again declined to change
his position and the 3rd witness

at 1639 hours was brought on parade. After a great deal of hesitation
he placed his right hand on the shoulder of CHU Leung and said this
one.
CHU Leung was asked if he had any objections to the way the
parade was conducted and he said none. The parade concluded at 1650 hours. (Identification Book entered as Exhibit 'G'.)

Q Is it possible that the K.M.T. could have found out about the
18 addresses under Special Branch surveillance other than by a
leakage from Special Branch?
A. Yos, but not likely that they would find out about all of them.

On 17th November, 1961 I was present at an identification
parade held at Chatham Road Compound. Mr. D.E.W. O'Brien was the officer conducting the parade. D/S/Sgt. CHU Leung was present on the
parade. I acted as interpreter between Mr. O'Brien speaking in English and S/Sgt. CHU Leung speaking in Cantonese.
