On 31st October, 1961 I received a visiting card of this person which was found at the Z Business. My enquiries regarding this man revealed

that he was a former member of 'Y' Department of the Hong Kong Govern-

ment.

He left the Colony for Taiwan on 8th October, 1961 and was due

to return to the Colony on 4th or 6th November, 1961. His wife

returned on 4th November, 1961. To the best of my knowledge Mr. X

has not returned to the Colony.

On 31st October, 1961, a notebook of

at the Z Business. In it I found the name

number

was found

and phone

This number was found to be that of the Yau Kiu Printing Press, 540, Lockhart Road, ground floor. (Notebook entered as Exhibit

E.)

On 25th November, 1961, I received a visiting card of YAM Chun

Fai which had been found by the Police at the L Business. I caused

enquiries to be made about

at the Yau Kiu Printing Press,

floor, but was unable to locate him.

On 6th September, 1961 Mr. 'I' was questioned by Special Branch officers and subsequently on several occasions. During questioning it was suggested to him that Special Branch had evidence to deport him

from the Colony.

During the course of this investigation a number of documents were scized at 4, Ko Shan Road, 2nd floor. (Identified documents at Exhibit 'C' as some of them.) I have caused a check to be made of

the documents against Special Branch records. I have found that 18

of the addresses in documents in Exhibit 'C' refer to actual Special

Branch surveillance operations carried out between 12th April, 1960

and 17th July, 1961.

On 17th November, 1961 I was the Officer in charge of an

identification parade at Chatham Road Compound. Inspector LEUNG

Yam Park, Special Branch, acted as my interpreter. The purpose of

the parade was that 3 persons in custody had admitted that they were K.M.T. Intelligence agents operating in the Colony and that they had met on different occasions D/S/Sgt. CHU Leung (identified accused) of Special Branch. The purpose was to see whether these people could identify S/Sgt. CHU Leung. At 1615 hours the parade commenced. The

witnesses were kept in cells where they could not see or hear any thing

of the parade. Six people were on the parade including CHU Leung.

All were dressed in European style clothing with collars and ties and

were all wearing spectacles. The purpose of the parade was explained
