HON told me that 3 persons,

Street, were arrested by the Police. He also said the Police obtained the information from a letter posted to that address to
HON did not know the contents of the letter.

I know the name Mr. 'I'. He was one of my agents who was
instructed by me to infiltrate into China. About 10 days or more before the mid-Autumn festival 1961, I received a telephone call
from Mr. 'I' who told me that the Hong Kong Police had called him up for interview twice. He was accused of associating both with K.M.T. and communist agents in Hong Kong and was threatened with deportation. He also said that in his opinion the matter was not
extremely serious. I warned him to be careful.

Because Mr. 'I' told me over the telephone that the matter
was not serious I was undecided what to do. About 2 days before
the mid-Autumn festival 1961,
visited me at my flat
1 'F', 11th floor, Vienna Building. I told him the story of Mr. 'I'
with the intention of asking him to make enquiries. He asked me whether I was agreeable to him (HON) making enquiries with CHU Leung
and I agreed. A few days later
returned to me and told
me that he had made enquiries with CHU Leung.
CHU told him that CHU
himself was responsible for this enquiry regarding Mr. 'I', and since Mr. 'I' was an indirect friend of HON, he (CHU) might do something for him. However, CHU Leung wanted to know how much reward he could
expect. I told
that it might be quite difficult for
Mr. 'I' to raise money and I asked HOW to drop the matter. I never saw CHU Leung or Mr. X face to face about this case. About 3 or 4
days after the visit of
I received a telephone call
from Mr. 'I' who told me that he was released from his troubles. I
lut the matter drop.
