Q.

A.

Yes. Mr. 'H' told me on the telephone that CHU Leung wished

to see me.

Do you know Mr. 'H'?

At that time I did not know Mr. 'H', but later he was introduced

to me by you as Mr. 'H'. That was the first time I met him.

Who arrived at the Sing Chow Restaurant first?

You and Mr. 'H'. You were sitting at a table at the end of

the restaurant, and you were the only people at that table.

What did I do after I received the $2,000?

I asked you to count it, but you said you did not want to.

You then left the restaurant and we parted company. You

carried the money in your pocket when you left the restaurant.

Q. Was Mr. 'H' there when you handed me the money?

A.

No.

You introduced Mr. 'H' to me and after I received his

visiting card he left first.

Did I tell you who Mr. 'H' was?

A. No, you merely said he was your friend, and that I should

contact him. He gave me a card with a telephone number

written on it.

2.

A.

Did you know Mr. 'H' before this introduction?

Med

I have seen him delivering a letter to Mr. X, but I did not know him personally.

(NOTE: - At this stage S/Sgt. CHU Leung stated that the evidence

of this witness was all fabrication, but that he has no means of disproving that what he has said is lies.)

Re-examination by prosecuting officer.

Q.

After the introduction of Mr. 'H' at the Sing Chow Restaurant

how many times did you meet him?

A. About 4 or 5 times. He delivered intelligence reports to

Mr. X for me.

Questions by ACP/K.

Q On 16th and 17th November, 1961, how many times approximately

had you met S/Sgt. CHU Leung?

A.

About eight times.

Q.

If on 16th and 17th November, 1961, S/Sgt. CHU Leung said

that he did not recognize your photograph in Exhibit 'B'

which is a good likeness of you he would be telling lies?

A. Yea. I know him. There is no reason why he does not know me.
