Leung. I first started to work for Mr. X in June 1961. I first

heard the name CHU Leung about April or May 1961. I first came

across the name CHU Leung in newspaper reports and when I asked

Mr. X he told me that he knew CHU Leung and that CHU Leung came

from the same village as he did. I saw CHU Leung in June 1961

when I was leaving Mr. X's flat in G Street. He was in the street

downstairs. I was introduced to him by Mr. X. (Accused identified as the CHU Leung referred to above.) I was introduced to CHU Leung

as a good friend of Mr. X and he was introduced to me as one who

hailed from the same village as Mr. X I was introduced as HON Pik

Kwong, and CHU Leung was introduced to me as Mr. CHU. I was told by Mr. X at the time of introduction that CHU Leung was a S/Sgt in Special Branch. This meeting was in the morning about 0900 hours.

Following this initial introduction I met CHU Leung about six or

seven times more.

The second meeting I had with CHU Leung was at the Sing

Chow Restaurant, Lockhart Road. On that occasion I received a

telephone call from CHU Leung when I was at the Z Business

asking me to go to the Sing Chow Restaurant to take tea. I now

correct this statement to say that in fact I received the telephone call from Mr. 'H' saying that CHU Leung was waiting for me in the

Sing Chow Restaurant. Before this telephone call about 1000 hours, I was visited by Mr. X at the Z Business. He gave me $2,000 H.K. in cash in an envelope with instructions that the money be delivered to CHU Leung. Mr. X did not tell me the reason for giving him this money. I went to the restaurant and saw CHU Leung (identi- fied) and I handed him the envelope with the money inside. The envelope was not sealed. I saw the money myself, 2 $500 notes, 4 $100 notes and the rest in $10 notes. CHU Leung said nothing

when I gave him the money except that he would telephone Mr. X.

Nothing further transpired after I handed him the money. I left

the restaurant. At the time of receiving the telephone call I did

not know who Mr. 'H' was, but at the meeting at the Sing Chow

Restaurant I was told by CHU Leung that if I wanted to have any dealings with him (i.e. CHU Leung), I should do it through Mr. 'H'

at telephone no.

The next meeting with CHU Leung was some time in August 1961 at Mr. X's flat. Mr. X and CHU Leung (identified) were having

a conversation in the living room when I arrived. I heard Mr. X

tell CHU Leung that Mr. X had a friend named CHAN who was in the Colony to do intelligence work, and Mr. X asked CHU Leung to
