As a result of this enquiry, the
Governor reviewed the record of the disciplinary
proceedings which had led to Sgt. Chu's
dismissal but concluded that there was
insufficient ground for intervening in the
matter.

In February 1965, Sgt. Chu appealed to
the Governor, seeking reinstatement, but the
reason
Governor saw no ground for intervening.

August 1966, Sgt. Chu made representations to
the Secretary of State, a copy of which he sent
to Mr. Jenkin, M.P.
In June, 1968, the

Minister informed Mr Jenkin that that his conclusion was, that there were insufficient grounds for considering that
any injustice
had been done and
in consequence, for intervening in the
cass.
