When they appeared. in Court, SO was remanded in custody for fourteen days for a psychiatric report and the other youth was remanded on bail. During the period of his remand, So's friends presented a petition to H. E. the Governor requesting his release and made an unsuccessful attempt to visit him at the Mental Hospital. SO appeared in Court again on 25 April, when, on the basis of the psychiatric report, he was found fit to plead. Following the hearings of the case he was found guilty as charged and sentenced to three months
