Plastic Workers' General Union - Internal Intelligence Report paragraph 18 refers) and R.G.s demonstrated outside Government offices seeking permission to join their compatriots in the Colony. Travellers reported that on 27th June, many R.G.s (some said ten thousand) attempted to board a down train at Canton Railway Station with the intention of invading the Colony but they were thwarted in this purpose by a large force of P.L.A.

Repetitive anti-British propaganda was broadcast daily over C.P.G. loudspeakers at Lo Wu. The text of the broadcasts usually consisted of the original C.F.G. five demands, condemnation of the alleged British fascist atrocities, and assurances of C.P.. support for Hong Kong compatriots. C.F.G. rolling stock which entered Hong Kong via Lo wu was plastered with slogans and posters calling for the death of H.. the Governor and other leading British officials. Slogans also encouraged police and immigration disaffection and supported the communist cause in the Colony. Kowloon Canton Railway engine drivers entering China to pick up rolling stock were made to quote from the works of Lao and to accept slogans and posters on their engines.
