Dear

HONG KONG INTERNAL SECURITY OPERATIONS
I am writing in connection with the charges it is proposed to raise for Ministry of Defence assistance during the internal security situation in Hong Kong.
2. You will no doubt recall that in their letter of 29th February 1968 (reference
26 A/16/ABD/5712(F1 (AD)) the Army Department promised to send you details of the
charges the Navy Department might wish to raise as soon as they were known.
3. We have now heard from the Commander-in-Chief, Far East Fleet that there are no identifiable extra costs so far as the Royal Navy is concerned as the steaming of Hong Kong Guardships was part of planned Fleet movements.
Yours sincerely,
A.W. Gaminara Esq
