After consultation with OAG and CBF Hong Kong, confirm decision to withdraw 2/6 GR from Hong Kong without relief during week commencing 9 Jun. Most grateful for your offer of UK based Battalion should decision have gone the other way.
2. I note your agreement to move 2 Para to Hong Kong after 27 Jul to cover "Double Tenth". I plan to visit Hong Kong myself end September when will review situation again with Governor in hope of releasing 2 Para soonest after "Double Tenth" if that passes off quietly.
