The meeting of the Ministerial Committee on Hong Kong will now take place on Friday 24th May and not on Tuesday 14th May as previously notified.

I understand that a further paper is being prepared by your Department which will also be considered at
the meeting of the Committee.

You will no doubt prepare briefs for the Secretary of State on these papers. I should be grateful if these briefs might reach the Private Office by 23rd May.
