I wrote to Governor on 2 October about contingency planning, conveying Ministerial request for further information on existing plans. Information reaching me indirectly suggests that exercise to refurbish plans may be in progress. Cabinet Office is anxious to put this back to Ministers as soon as possible. Grateful you discuss with Governor possibility of sending early report based on existing plans.
