How does the Secretary of State see the future of Hong Kong?
I share the optimism of Sir Alexander Grantham and Sir Robert Black in foreseeing a good future for the Colony in the years immediately ahead. There are indications that wiser counsels are now prevailing, and I look forward to a restoration of good working relations with China to the mutual benefit of China, Hong Kong and ourselves.
