ARRANGEMENT REGARDING INTERNATIONAL TRADE
IN COTTON TEXTILES
Action under Article 3
The following communication has been transmitted to the Director-General by the United Kingdom mission on behalf of the Government of Hong Kong.
The British mission presents its compliments to the Director-General of the GATT and has the honour to inform him that the Government of Hong Kong, following a request made by the Governments of the Benelux countries to hold consultations on textile problems, negotiated with representatives of the Benelux Governments from 5-14 July 1967 in Hong Kong.
As a result, the Hong Kong Government will limit exports of certain cotton woven textiles to the Benelux countries from 18 July 1967 to 30 September 1968.
A copy of the Hong Kong Government's undertaking is attached.
The British mission takes this opportunity to renew to the Director-General the assurance of its highest consideration.
