This letter is to confirm our telephone conversation about the draft Defence and Oversea Policy Committee paper on Hong Kong which
Mr. Lawrence-Wilson sent over to your Minister under cover of his minute dated 25th July.
The Defence Secretary would like to delete the second sentence of the third paragraph of the paper.
He will raise this point orally at the meeting of the Committee on Friday 28th July.
