Exchange of personnel.
We said that we hade 'decided to send back Iu Wong-Kwai and four other members of the Fu Sing People's Commune at 1700 hours at Lowu on 26 November 1967 and guarantee that they are in as good health as they were when they entered British territory.' 'The Chinese side said that 'the Shum Chun Border Defence Inspection Station has decided to release the two Hong Kong Chinese policemen at 1700 hours on 26 November 1967 through the Man Kam To Bridge and guarantees that they are physically in good shape. At the same time one machine gun and magazine, a motor cycle and senior Inspector Knight's personal effects will be handed back with them'.
(5) Payment for crops.
The statement made by our side was as follows:
'In view of the fact that after the closing of the Man Kam To Bridge in consequence of certain actions taken by persons from C.T., those C.T. farmers who have farm land in British territory believed that they were unable to come to British territory to farm, the Hong Kong authorities are willing to offset in the sum of 29,400 J.M.P. The losses of those farmers of Po On County who, though taking no part in any acts of violence on the border, necessarily suffered as a result of these events'. It was made clear that we accepted no charge of wrong-doing in respect of the closure of the Man Kam To Bridge.

Compensation for graves.
We said that with regard to the graves damaged by the British soldiers at Si Kei Hill, Man Kam To, the Hong Kong authorities will remove the graves and pay compensation according to the requests of the owners of the graves and a draft on the Bank of China of Hong Kong for 1680 J.M.P. to cover the above expenses will be handed over to the Ho Pei Production Brigade of Po On County for transmission to the owners. It was agreed the two drafts would be handed over personally to the Chinese representative at Lowu at 1500 hours on 27 November 1967.

We gave an assurance that we would not endanger the personal safety of the border inhabitants of Po On County when they cross the border and engage in farming, production
