Two Hong Kong police constables who accidentally crossed into China in September, returned to Hong Kong across across the bridge at Man Kam To Sunday afternoon.
The motorcycle on which they had ridden into China was also returned at the bridge.
At the same time, five people recently arrested after entering Hong Kong territory from China were deported.
Shortly after their return, the two constables were reunited with their families.
At the same time as the constables and their motorcycle were returned at Man Kam To, a Sterling sub-machine gun, a magazine and two rounds of ammunition were also handed back. These were stolen in an incident near Ta Kwu Ling in August. Also handed back were personal belongings of Senior Inspector Knight who returned to Hong Kong on Monday.

The deportation of five people to China took place at Lowu at the same time. The men who have been in custody were taken to the railway station at Lowu under police escort.
A Government spokesman said that these arrengements had been arrived at in exchanges about border matters between responsible officials on both sides.
The spokesman said the bridge at Man Kam To would remain open since the incident which had made it necessary to close the bridge was now ended.
