Miscellaneous Ideas and Suggestions
Wo aro awaiting the Governor's further thoughts on one of two suggestions ho made in London 1.0. the grant of the title "Royal" to the Hong Kong Police Force, the training of bomb disposal toans in the United Kingdom.
One suggestion made by the Governor was that senior Parliamentary figures should make occasional friendly roferonces to Hong Kong. The Secretary of State is being asked to mention this to Mr. Anthony Roylo, M.P., Chairman of the Informal Hong Kong Parliamentary Group, whom he is socing on Monday, 16th October. It may additionally be desirable for the Secretary of Stato and the Minister of State to speak to one or two of their colleagues in duo course.
