Macao.
H.M. Consul reports that at a meeting in Chinese territory yesterday the Kwangtung delegates rejected the latest Portuguese draft apology. The atmosphere appears to have been unpleasant and
Portuguese
were told that if they did not accept the Chinese draft in full within 24 hours Chinese would adopt other measures. The Macao Left Wing press were yesterday talking again of a general boycott of the Portuguese. The Hong Kong Left Wing press today prints a statement by a group of policemen in Macao to the effect that they do not wish to be accomplices of Portuguese machinations. Curiously, however, the dispute is being given very little prominence here.
