Following from Political Adviser to D.S.A.0.
The main functions of the Consulate, the issue of Hong Kong permits, Hong Kong British and other visas, and passports, have already been taken over by Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Government. The Canadian Trade Commission here are taking over the payment of pensions to their citizens in Macao. I understand from Ions that the only matters requiring further action are cases involving claims to British nationality by residents in Macao.
