You should be aware that a meeting of the Defence and Oversea Policy Committee is to be held on Tuesday 5 September and that the following items appear on the Agenda:
(i) South Arabia: Memo by the Foreign
Secretary to be circulated;
(ii) Nigeria: to be raised orally;
(iii)
China and Hong Kong: to be raised
orally.
The Cabinet Office will arrange for the Minister of State, Mr. Thomas, to be invited for this meeting in the Secretary of State's absence abroad. Could briefing for Mr. Thomas please reach his Private Office by Monday
evening.
