Proposed visits by M.S. "Savannah"
to Hong Kong
You wrote to Gaminara on 30 August about monitoring arrangements for future visits of the "Savannah" to Hong Kong in October.
2. We have no comments on your proposed draft to Lyons at the American Embassy. I do not think that Far Eastern Department need to be represented at the meeting you plan to hold, but we have an interest in any alternative arrangements the Americans may propose and I should be grateful if we could be given an opportunity to consider then. I am sending a copy of this letter to the recipients of yours.
