The claim presence in Hong Kong of Admiral Hyland and the C.G.S.

is made that despite denials by the British Government in the past, Hong Kong continues to be used by the U.S. as a military base. The question is posed whether the contact in Hong Kong between the two military leaders will push Hong Kong further into the whirlpool of the war of aggression in Vietnam

2. In the Ta Kung Pao there is a short commentary entitled "Hyland comes once more to carry out activities", This describes in brief how Hong Kong has been used by the U.S. as "operational base in its war of aggression" and was proposed as a site for peace talks. The commentator concludes that the current visits of Admiral Hyland and the C.G.S. are obviously not accidental, and that the time has come for the British Government to consider the matter earnestly and to act with caution.
