8th April 1968

Thank you for your letter of 2nd April suggesting that I might speak to the Parliamentary Anglo-Hong Kong Group on either 1st or 8th May.

I would be very happy to speak to the Group if it could be arranged on 1st May, and I am grateful to you for the suggestion. My programme however, is being arranged by the Commonwealth Office, and I cannot therefore say with certainty what could Le fitted in. I am copying this letter to Carter in the Commonwealth Office, who will no doubt arrange to get in touch with you to see what can be fixed up. I will gladly fall in with any arrangements that are agreeable to you both.

I am also copying this letter to Sedgwick in the Hong Kong Government Office, for his information.
