Emergency Statistics
On the 22nd May there were 743 persons still serving prison sentences for offences connected with the disturbances. In addition, 52 persons were being held in detention, 14 under the Deportation of Aliens Ordinance, and 38 by detention orders made under the Emergency Regulations.
