Following telegram of 30 May from Seoul to Foreign Office
No. 82 addressed to Hong Kong No. 26.
Begins.
On 26 May the Korean Government placed an official ban on direct travel to Hong Kong by Korean nationals. I have now received a request from the chairman of Hong Kong Tourist Association to try to persuade Koreans to rescind this ban. I would be grateful for your confirmation that visitors (non-military) are welcome.
