I have the honour to inform you that I have
appointed Dr. S.Y. Chung, provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council with effect from 19 April 1967, during the absence from the Colony of Mr. F.S. Li.

Dr. Chung's previous provisional appointment, referred to in your despatch No.1860 dated 6 October 1966, expired on 27 October 1966 following the return to the Colony of Mr. P.Y. Tang.

Copies of the Instrument of Appointment in respect of Dr. Chung and of the Gazette Notice promulgating his appointment are attached.
