I have the honour to inform you that I have appointed Mr. Daniel LAM See-hin, J.P., provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council with effect from 26th April, during the absence from the Colony of Mr. H.C. Fung.
2.
Mr. Lam, the director and general manager of a local manufacturing firm, has not previously served on the Legislative Council. He is a Justice of the Peace and has been an appointed member of the Urban Council since 1st April 1965. He is also a member of the Housing Authority.

Copies of the Instrument of Appointment in respect of Mr. Lam and of the Gazette Notice promulgating his appointment are attached.
