I have the honour to inform you that I have today appointed Mr. Daniel LAM See-hin, J.P., provisionally and subject to Her Majesty'a pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council during the absence from the Colony of Mr. TSE Yu-chuen.

Mr. Lam's previous provisional appointment referred to in your Despatch No. 491 dated 11th May 1967 expired on 8th July 1967 following the return of Mr. H.C.Fung.

Copies of the Instrument of Appointment in respect of Mr. Lam and of the Gazette Notice promulgating his appointment are attached.
