Sir David Trench has become the target of attack as well as the object of hate, especially among the leftists, in Hong Kong If his term of office continues, it is predictable that movements of a drastic nature will resume rende ring the situation of the Colony much worse.

Hong Kong to-day is precarious. A new governor of far-sightedness and democratie- mindedness will do well.

Hong Kong is suffering depression, social disorder & uncertainty entirely caused by the old-fashioned measures adopted by Sir David Trench and his assistants. People now in financial plight attribute their difficulties to the mismanagement of local authorities.
