I am so sorry that I have caused some
embarrassment by failing to acknowledge the letter from Albert Rodrigues, Dougie Clague
and C.Y. Kwan about Sir David's term of office.
This is because for the last few weeks I seem
to have spent hardly a day at my desk in London. But 1 hope, with any luck, to be anchored here for a bit; and one of my first tasks has been to make up for my omission by writing to Albert
as in the attached letter.
