A CRUCIFORM plan shape, with floors sloping down towards a central high altar, and a unique roof design that creates internally triangular shapes rising to a high apex above the sanc- tuary are features that make the new Cathedral of St. Joseph, Kuching, Sa- rawak unlike any other Catholic church built in South East Asia in recent years.
