The construction of the single storey building at Kampong Jagoh, which is illus- trated on the next page, is of considerable interest in that it could almost be the proto- type of the type of building, particularly adaptable for rapid and economical con- struction, that could be utilised for the con- struction of schools all over the Far East in an effort to close the gap between the number of schools required immediately and buildings available for such a purpose.
