The covered playground will be used as such. At other times it will be used for religious meetings, social gatherings and other functions. When the occasion warrants it, this room will be divided into two class- rooms by folding doors and used as a kindergarten.
The kitchen, which is equipped with kerosene ranges and other cook- ing appliances, can provide about 200 meals over a very short period.
The building is of reinforced con- crete construction with stone piers. Some of the walls are faced with granite stone having a brick lining. Most of the floors are cement render- ed, except for the covered playground which has cement tiles, the stage quarry tiles, and lavatories and kit- cher: mosaic tiles.
An attractive feature of the south- east elevation is a teak cross attach- ed to the blank stone wall, facing the main road, and back-lit at night.
