The layout of the clinic was to a large extent governed by the type of patients expected to make use of it, and by the limitations of the boundaries. It was necessary to put the Physiotherapy Department on the ground floor for the convenience of physically handicapped patients, and the remaining area on this floor was only big enough to accommodate the X-Ray Department.

The T.B. Clinic on the first floor has a separate entrance with an easy flight of stairs to the waiting hall. In order to reduce cross traffic, a second exit staircase has been pro- vided leading either to Kennedy Road, or to the X-Ray Department, should the patient be instructed to go there for further X-Ray examina- tion.
