Cover: Malaysia-Singapore Airline's head- quarters at Robinson Road, Singapore, embraces a number of new ideas in build- ing development. The three-storey podium on which its tower block stands is the first to follow a stipulation by the State Plan- ning Department aimed at regularising the streetscape in this part of the city. Its large basement, waterproofed by a grout system, introduces on-the-spot car parking for owners and tenants. The tower core was the first to be slipformed in Singapore and the building's fully demountable parti tioning and 'vent grid' air-conditioning system are other firsts in the region.
