centres to facilitate fixing the ceiling hangers. The hangers may be of an annealed galvanised wire, standard mild steel strap or angle.
The nogging tees are in 2ft. or 4 ft. lengths manufactured from the same material as the main beams. The ends of the nogging tees are formed so that a tab at one end lines up with a 'D' cut-out at the opposite end. The tabs are bent round to form a tight fit between cross tees and the main beams.
Bowater 400 takes infill boards of either 4 ft. x 2 ft. (nominal), or 2 ft. x 2ft. (nominal), and may be adapted to take other sizes.
LIGHTING FITTING
Shallow surface mounting with four 4 ft. lamps
THE Tiara surface-mounted lighting fitting has hidden apertures that emit uplighting on to the ceiling to create a soft even glow around the fixture.
Multiple wiring knockouts in the ends and sides allow unlimited installation and design patterns for the unit which is only 3-3/16in. deep, 50 in. long and 25in. wide.
Four 4ft. rapid start lamps are used and pyramid plastic Controlens give the fitting a jewel-like appearance.

VENTILATORS
Low silhouette power roof units
POWER roof ventilators in a new range by ILG Industries Inc., 2810 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, Ill., USA, have an attractive low silhouette de- sign and are produced in two types: Saber with spun aluminium roofs, and Lance with moulded fibreglass roofs.
There are 14 basic sizes to suit ven- tilation problems in schools, restaur- ants, hospitals and industrial build- ings. Their capacities are between 865 and 24,974 c.f.m.
Features include all non-ferrous construction, non-overloading dyna- mically balanced centrifugal fan wheels, variable pitch V-belt drives,

ACCELERATOR PUMPS
Rotors sheathed in stainless steel
GRUNDFOSS series 2000 circulator pumps, consists of three models, capable of lifting water to a 6. 10 and 16 ft. head respectively or pumping up to 16, 18 and 20 g.p.m.
Each size features a stainless-steel- sheathed rotor which, together with a stainless-steel shaft and one-piece rotor housing, ensures a high resis- tance to corrosion.
On all three versions permissible water temperatures range up to 230 deg. F. (110 deg. C.), the water in the rotor housing being isolated from the main installation in order to prevent the rotor from jamming due to sedi- ment build up. Loosening three screws on the top of the pump en- ables the stator unit to be rotated through 360 deg so that the terminal box can be conveniently located for electrical accessibility. Removing the screws entirely frees the stator so that it can be lifted out of the main pump casing.
Noise is eliminated by the automa- tic clearing of any accumulation of air behind the impellers, while hardwear- ing tungsten-carbide bearings enable bearing surfaces to be reduced to a minimum for easier starting and running. With inputs rated at 55, 95 and 120 w. respectively, the pumps have 25, 45 and 60 w. outputs. All stand 71⁄2 in. high overall and mea-

MARKING MACHINE
Measures roads and paints white lines
A ROAD measuring machine which incorporates equipment for painting a continuous or broken white line has been developed by Trumeter Co. Ltd., Milltown Street, Radcliffe, Manches- ter, UK.
Basically the ma- chine consists of a wheel ground to the exact diameter required and cover- ed with synthetic oil-resistant rubber. The shaft of the wheel is connected to a recording counter which re- cords distances measured in feet, yards or any other unit.

The machine is specially construct- ed to be packed away in a carrying bag when not in use.
ADHESIVE
Compensates for diffential expansion
PLASTIKON-400 is a new multi- purpose construction adhesive that can be used for both exterior and in- terior applications. It retains its ad- hesion over long-term aging, provides strong impact resistance and compen- sates for differential expansion rates of dissimilar materials.
The adhesive can securely bond most building materials and is recom- mended by its makers for the applica- tion of sub-flooring. It is water re- sistant and will withstand tempera- tures of up to 200 degrees F.
