Hong Kong Branch Established

In February 1937 a branch school was opened in Hong Kong.

During the Japanese occupation Pui Ying travelled to Siu Kwan and Leen Shien in Free China returning to Pak Hok Tung (Canton) after the war. Every branch then reopened and by 1948 the combined enrolment of the different Pui Yings totalled about 6,000 students.

The Hong Kong branch became an independent middle school in 1951 and was officially registered with the Hong Kong Government as the Pui Ying Middle School of Hong Kong with Mr. Wan Kam Ming, who had been managing the school since 1947,
