The flats, of which there will be about 325, are arranged on each side of a central corridor which is open at one end and connects to a cross corridor at the other for ventilation and access.

Each flat. which will have an area of over 330 square feet. will comprise a combined living room bedroom of about 200 square feet and will open onto a covered verandah approxi-

mately 7'0" x 10'0". Separate kitchen units each 9'6" x 5'0" are included in each flat. Communal lavatories on each floor are arranged against the hillside, simplifying the drainage system.

Full details are not yet available. but while the quarters will be built without expensive finishes
