The school, which moved from the site now occupied by the existing Northcote Teachers Training Col- lege in Bonham Road. Hong Kong.
1926, added
gymnasium. geography, music and arts rooms to the original building in 1952 and more recently a single storey science. block, including chemistry, physics and biology laboratories, was added.
But even by pressing into service every room, including those in the cellars, it was impossible to make room for all potential pupils, espe- cially when it was decided to add a fourth stream to the existing three streams of boys in Forms One to Five. This decision meant that instead of having 680 boys in the school there could now be 1.065, including 100 boarders.
The new additions are based on the recently added science wing.

This wing, with the second storey of classrooms, is now the north side of an
open quadrangle. On the south side are four staff quarters library, sports changing rooms and a general purpose room. all overlooking the sports fields. The two wings are linked on the west by a demonstration lecture hall block, which will be used chiefly as visual aid room.

In all the new extension will give six additional form rooms five for the new stream in the five forms and one for French which has been much needed as well the lecture hall and the sports changing room. which will enable two forms at one time to be engaged in physical training and easing the strain on the large gymnasium.
The staff quarters in the upper south wing comprise two flats for
married teachers and two sets of bachelor accommodation for unmar- ried teachers. The provision of staff quarters actually at the school is caused by the need for full time supervision consequent on the school having over 100 boarders from all parts of the Far East.
Cost of the new extension is ap- proximately $700.000 which has been met originally by a non-interest bearing loan from the Hong Kong Government.
