Due to the narrow width of the Restaurant, the mural was kept sim- ple in design and the characters as stylized as possible. A minimum of colour has been used, and the finished result presents a kaleidoscope of those features of Hong Kong which go to make up the everyday life of the Colony.

The field of research will in- clude Thailand, Singapore, Malaya, Burma, Indo-China, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Borneo, countries at present with little or no exchange of information of their common building problems, except United Nations reports.
