The total building volume is 740.870 cubic feet and the overall cost. including site formation, $1,700,000.
Construction was of conventional reinforced concrete.
The theatre auditorium has seat- ing for 1,000 plus room for another 440 in a balcony.
It is finished throughout with special rough texture acoustic plas- ter. except for the lower 5 ft. 6 in. of the solid brick walls which are faced with hardwood panels. The metal lath suspended roof is also covered with acoustic plaster.
The girder supported balcony projects 62 ft. 6 ins. from the wall.
The 45 ft. high auditorium slopes gently down to the screen. Conse- quently there is a sloping in the roof of the restaurant below, but this is not readily noticed as the minimum height of the restaurant roof is 11ft.
All theatre doors are made of two inch hardwood hung to open in the direction of egress only and are fitted with panic bolts and illuminated exit signs in seven inch high English and Chinese letters.
Also, in conformance with accept- ed and official safely regulations. points have been built in for sand and water buckets and fire tinguishers.

All toilets throughout the building and the restaurant kitchen have 5ft. high glazed tile facing on the lower walls.
