We reproduce on this page plans of a new Roman Catholic Church recently completed at Pokfulam for the Missions Etrangeres.

In spite of the simplicity of exterior and interior design, governed by strict economy, the structure is eminently effective and cloisteral.

The back wall is also a retaining wall which gives access to the road on the adjoining lot. The main arches have been constructed as light as possible and, as economy

did not allow for a campanile, the church bell is reached by an external iron ladder which, however, tends to give a pleasing and modern aspect to the main elevation.

The choir railing consists of a reinforced concrete beam of 32 feet span which enables a clear ten foot light under the choir.

The whole structure is a triumph of simplicity and economy allied with expert design and craftsmanship.
