The Architects' Original Sketch of the Project.
Probably one of the most interesting developments to be seen in Hong Kong is now in the course of construction in Argyle Street, Kowloon.
The site which is the property of Messrs. Eu Tong Sen, Ltd., is a large one of some 130,000 square feet, and in its natural state occupies several varying levels rising from Argyle Street to a height of 16 feet in the
rear, where a future road will be formed passing the Central British School.
The Architects in the development have refrained from cutting the whole site down to the level of Argyle Street which would have necessitated a large retaining wall to support this new road, and instead have created two levels as can be seen in the accompanying plan. The
