Until Hyster introduced the C350A, steel wheel tandem rollers showed few changes in design or performance over the past 20 years. The C350A is a departure-with performance as advanced as its appearance. Control of direction, speed and steering is precise, instantaneous, smooth and effortless. A hydrostatic (hydraulic) transmission working through a planetary final drive provides two speed ranges in forward and reverse for a full range of torque multiplications to meet all operating conditions. Braking is automatic. Hydrostatic steering reduces effort while retaining the "feel" and "follow-up" of manual steering. Service checkpoints are conveniently located.
Standard equipment includes a 111 hp industrial gasoline engine (diesel is optional), scrapers, a pressurized water system and full-width cocoa mats for cleaning. The C350A is available in two versions: 12-ton and 14-ton (variable from 8 to 12 tons and from 10 to 14 tons with water ballast).
