Measured drawing of a Tin Hau Temple, by She Kwong Wing a 1956 graduate. This drawing is part of the Faculty's collection of measured drawings.

Dean W. W. Wurster, of the College of Architecture, the University of California, and Mrs. Wurster, recent- ly visited the Faculty of Architecture of the Hong Kong University.

On the occasion of their visit a small exhibition was arranged. It showed the Berkeley Campus of the Univer- sity of California in its three stages of development 1900, to-day and in the future, whilst Mr. and Mrs. Wurs- ter (Catherine Bauer, the planning and housing expert) saw some of the School's fine collection of measured drawings of buildings of historical interest in Hong Kong and Macau. This collection, rather like that of the Georgian Group in London (which is in continuous preparation by Schools. of Architecture) is steadily growing into a valuable record of vernacular architecture. One such scheme is of a small temple at Lyemun since destroy- ed and rebuilt, whilst others show the Church of Sao Paulo at Macau, the walled villages at Kam Tin and else- where in the New Territories.

Also included in the exhibition, which did not set out to be repre- sentative of the School's work, were drawings and photographs of a thesis scheme for a Buddhist Temple, traffic studies, housing analysis, and other items likely to be of particular interest to the visitors.
