by the Committee without having to touch the Kuk's reserve funds or ask Government for a building grant.
The site, which is approximately 38,500 square feet in area and irregu- lar in shape, lies to the south-east of Po Leung Kuk and overlooks Link Road. Considerable site formation work was required as the ground originally sloped quite steeply from the road frontage up to the back, and more gradually from the north to the south boundary.
The school building is located on a levelled area in the north-east corner of the site. Levelling was also done to the south of the new building to provide separate basketball and volley-ball courts.
There are two entrances to the school grounds from the Kuk com- pound, and one main entrance from Link Road through a gate set in the boundary wall. This entrance gate is of traditional Chinese Pai Lau design surmounted by a coloured glazed tiled roof, and leads up flight of steps directly to the main door of the building.
The school itself is of three storeya and faces east. The main entrance hall is in the centre of the building. On the left of this hall there is a teachers' room with a private toilet and on the other side is an inquiry office.
