A modern housing estate is now being developed at Adam Road, Singapore. The site is within municipal limits and is four and a half miles from Raffles Place, situated on high ground commanding excellent views.

ADAM ROAD ESTATES Preliminary details of a new development within the municipal limits of Singapore.
All houses are complete with built-in cupboards and wardrobes, all main services and 15 gallon electric hot water heater, electric cooker and 7 cu. ft. refrigerator.
The land, which is freehold, has been divided into sites of approximately three-quarters of an acre each. The roads are laid out and constructed to comply with municipal require- ments, with an 18 ft. wearing surface and 9 ft. berms. Ap- proach roads to the bungalows are 10 ft. wide.
The water supply is provided from the 6" municipal ring main, each bungalow having an individual storage tank of 200 gallons capacity.

The roof is constructed of Kapore treated with creosote and finished with Marseilles type tiles, wired every fourth
course.
