the dark green marble facing to the entrance foyer. The ceilings in all verandahs have been left unplastered straight from plywood shuttering.
Considerable care was taken in the colour scheme and full use has been made of the new Super Snowcem colour range to give an attractive and gay colour effect throughout, phasised by the picking-out of door and trimmings in bright primary colours differing on each floor.

The buildings are equipped with large electric clocks inside at all points and operated through a master clock. For security there has also been installed a very complete system of watchmen's clocks and alarm bells.
Externally the large number of students and teaching staff to be catered for is reflected in the consider- able areas of concrete-paved parking areas and the wide internal ring road around the whole boundary of the site. Considerable planting of flower- ing shrubs and trees has been carried out under the building scheme, care being taken that trees are well clear of the areas on which future exten- sions have been planned. These future extensions will
will include the auditorium, canteen, common rooms and gymnasium as well as extensive additional wings to the workshop and classroom and laboratory block. cidentally, the entrance block, which is at present four storeys, has been designed to be brought up later to the general height of six storeys.
